I've always been fascinated with the world of hairdressing and its ability to combine fashion and art. I grew up watching my hairstylist mom transform not only people's appearance, but their mood and outlook with a haircut and color. I studied various hairstylist's techniques as I worked on the front desk of a busy salon in Portland, Oregon. After graduating cosmetology school, I assisted a blonding and Balayage artist, and then moved to California where I had the opportunity to work and learn at one of San Diego's top salons. While living in Southern California, I pursued advanced color education through Loreal, and became a certified extension specialist. I was lucky enough to style hair for numerous bridal parties, fashion shows, and events. Durango is truly a special place to live and create, and I look forward to collaborating with you to achieve your dream hair!

Fifteen years ago, I began my passionate pursuit of helping people realize their beauty and style goals in the San Francisco Bay Area where the ever advancing edge of style demanded the highest quality skills and customer service in order to satisfy its discerning clientele. To meet this demand and to expand my hairdressing knowledge I attended Bumble & Bumble University in New York. Always eager to improve my skills, I also studied with Goldwell and Redken to become a color specialist, and am also an alumni of Great Lengths and JZ Styles Co. which have certified and enabled me to also specialize in human hair extensions, including Hand-tied Wefts, Strand by Strand and Tape-In methods. Through continued education and meticulous attention to quality professionalism I am able to deliver the most current and customized styles. Manifesting your hair vision is a collaborative process with me in which I value connecting with you (my favorite part!) and truly listening to your input. Hey friends! My name is Jaclyn Denner but most times I go by Jaci. I have been in the hair world for 10 years now and I enjoy every part of it! Every year has been a new learning experience and i’m grateful to evolve as hair also evolves. Creating beautiful hair fills my heart and soul. I believe in enhancing natural hair to get the perfect tone and shape. Hand painted balayage is my of my favorite techniques along with all aspects of color, hair cutting, styling and extensions. Ive studied precision cutting with Vidal Sassoon and strongly believe that all hair should move as one with the perfect cut. When i’m not hanging out in salon doing what I love, I enjoy traveling with my husband and our blue heeler named Freya. We love to escape into nature to find peace in all the chaos. Weather it’s hair, nature, hiking, yoga or just being with loved ones, let’s make this experience an awesome one!

I started my hair career in 2010 at the Aveda institute in Los Angeles, California. I quickly fell in love with the world of color and beauty. I've done styling for various events and weddings, helped to build and manage a salon from the day it opened through the first years of growth. Throughout the last 12 years, I've been inspired by learning new techniques and have stayed current on how color can change and evolve. I specialize in color, curly cuts, short cuts and bridal hair. I can't wait to share my love for turning hair into a personalized art piece crafted for each and every person in my chair.

Hi, I’m Kate! Originally from Chicago, I felt drawn to the West and promised myself "just one summer” in Colorado- 12 years later, I'm still happily here. I’ve been behind the chair for over six years, working in beloved salons in Denver before deciding to settle in Durango. I specialize in low-maintenance color, curated cuts, and helping clients embrace their natural grays. Many of my clients say, “Do whatever you want — I trust you!” and I never take that trust lightly. As a certified Hair Loss and Scalp Specialist, I’m deeply committed to hair health and providing thoughtful, comprehensive care. I’m also continuously learning, regularly taking cutting and color classes to stay inspired and current. When I’m not in the salon, you’ll find me hiking with my sweet dog Avery, hunting for the best chocolate croissant, or traveling with my partner, David.r
